Explanation: Venetia Kapernekas, the former ‘mistress’ of art collector, Udo Fritz-Hermann Brandhorst, filed a lawsuit against him claiming a financial interest in two sculptures by Damien Hirst. She later dropped the federal suit in exchange for: $100,000 + a trust of $500,000, a Manhattan apartment worth $5m, $5,000 p/m child support, $640,000 legal expenses… oh and custody of her daughter.
In February she had tried to sell an Andy Warhol painting, which Brandhorst had given his daughter.
